'Kudus Mohammed's poor form this season affected West Ham United' - Jamie Carragher

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher praised Kudus Mohammed's talent. However, he blamed him for West Ham United's poor season.

The 24-year-old is considered "world-class." He played a key role in last season's Europa League quarter-finals. He scored 14 goals and provided 9 assists in all competitions.

This season, Kudus has struggled to regain his form. He faced a lengthy suspension and has only eight goal involvements: 4 goals and 4 assists in 34 appearances.

On SkySports, Carragher said Kudus' decline is a major reason for West Ham's struggles. He believes the Ghanaian playmaker hasn't met his own standards this year.

Carragher stated, “He’s a quality player who should be higher up the table.” He added that Kudus looked fantastic last season but hasn't performed similarly this year.

Some may argue that West Ham made poor decisions as well. Hiring Spanish manager Julen Lopetegui didn't work out after David Moyes left. Graham Potter is now trying to get the team back on track.

Despite having a contract until summer 2028, Kudus is attracting interest from clubs in Europe and Asia. He may consider a new challenge this summer.
