Benedict Agyei, a 14-year-old referee, earned widespread praise for his exceptional performance in officiating the Ashanti Region Inter-School soccer final between OKESS and SIMMS.
A Form 1 Business student at Asanteman Senior High School, Benedict displayed remarkable composure, maturity, and accuracy in decision-making, impressing players, coaches, and spectators.
His performance highlights the success of the ‘Catch Them Young’ Refereeing Policy, which nurtures young refereeing talent. Benedict, who had also officiated the 2024 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Finals, is quickly gaining recognition as one of Ghana’s brightest young referees.
