Medeama Sporting Club is now 7 points behind leaders Asante Kotoko. They achieved this with a 2-0 win over Aduana in Tarkwa.
In the first half, Medeama controlled the game. Michael Sarpong was the standout player but could not score. Aduana struggled to create chances, and the half ended goalless.
The second half began similarly, with Medeama pushing for a goal. The breakthrough came 10 minutes in when Sarpong was fouled in the box. Yussif Mubarik took the penalty and scored, giving Medeama the lead.
Aduana tried to equalize but faced strong defense from Medeama. Midfielder Sarpong secured the victory with a low header 15 minutes before full-time.
Medeama is now unbeaten in their last six home matches. They have defeated Aduana FC four times at home since 2020.
