Dreams FC held defending champions FC Samartex to a goalless draw in the opening match of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite limited chances in the first half, Samartex goalkeeper Kofi Baah made a key save from a Dreams set-piece before halftime.

Samartex pushed hard in the second half, but Dreams' defense remained resolute, even after midfielder Collins Boah received the first red card of the season in the 72nd minute.

Both teams settled for a point, with Samartex now focusing on Bibiani Gold Stars and Dreams preparing to face Basake Holy Stars.
