2024 National Honours Awards: Herbert Mensah honoured for outstanding contributions to sports in Ghana

Herbert Mensah, President of Rugby Africa, was awarded the Order of the Volta (Membership) by Ghana's President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the 2024 National Honours and Awards Ceremony.

This prestigious honor recognizes Mensah’s decades of transformative leadership in sports, particularly in football, rugby, and other sectors in Ghana. Mensah, known for his significant contributions to Ghanaian sports, expressed his gratitude and dedicated the award to all who supported him over his 25-year journey.

He highlighted that the accolade was not only for him but for everyone involved in sports development in Ghana, including his work with Asante Kotoko and Rugby. The Order of the Volta is Ghana's second-highest honor, recognizing exceptional contributions to the country.
