2025 Basketball Africa League: King Promise jams with APR after win [VIDEO]

Ghanaian musician King Promise celebrated with the Rwandan basketball team, Armee Patriotique Rwandaise (APR). They won their first game in the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The match took place at the BK Arena in Kigali. APR defeated Kenya’s Nairobi City Thunder with a score of 92-63.

This victory marked APR's opening game in the 2025 BAL Nile Conference. In another game, Libya’s Alahi Tripoli beat South Africa’s Made By Basketball 87-77. The top two teams will advance to the Playoffs after a round-robin format.

After their win, APR celebrated in their locker room with King Promise. They danced to his hit song “Terminator.” King Promise had performed this song during the halftime show earlier.

At the recent Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), King Promise won four awards. He was named Artiste of the Year and won Best Afropop Song for “Paris.” The BAL is supported by the NBA and FIBA and is now in its fifth year.

King Promise's performance at the BAL halftime show was well-received. Fans enjoyed his global hit single, "Terminator," during this event in Kigali, Rwanda.
