2025 Par-fect Mother's Day Golf Tournament ends

The first-ever Mother’s Day golf tournament has concluded successfully. It took place at Achimota Golf Club in Accra. The event was organized by Lady Captain Kous Louanges Mang. Over eighty golfers from various clubs participated in this special tournament.

The competition aimed to celebrate motherhood and promote networking. Veteran lady golfers like Elisabeth Essel Koomson and Ama Morgan attended. Both men and women teed off from the red box during the event. Several sponsors supported the tournament, including Tang Palace Hotel and Royal Fiesta Sun Lodge Hotel.

As the first major tournament under her leadership, participants felt proud to compete. After hours of play, Cyril Osaro Warionmor won with 48 points. Adriana Ignea followed with 38 points, while Kester Okundaye scored 37 points for third place.

Roberta Trzebinki secured fourth place, beating Maame Ohenewaa Boateng for fifth. Other notable players recognized included Ayoub Ghandour and Mary Prempeh. Max Ernst Heinrich and Harriet Kanlisi won closest to the pin awards, while Princess Nkansah Boadu took home the longest drive prize.

The competition used a joint score format. Lady Captain Kous Louanges Mang thanked everyone involved in making the event successful. She believed mothers were honored through golf on this special day.

Jan Vogel, General Manager of Achimota Golf Club, praised the lady captain's efforts. He also commended the course workers for maintaining the greens' condition throughout the tournament.
