2025 Unity Cup: I would have loved to play Jamaica in final – Thomas-Asante

Black Stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante is disappointed. Ghana failed to reach the final of the 2025 Unity Cup in London.

Thomas-Asante plays for Coventry City in England. He scored his first goal for the senior national team during the semi-final against Nigeria. His goal cut Nigeria’s lead to 2-1, but Ghana could not secure a final spot.

He expressed frustration about missing the final. "I’m Jamaican as well, so I would have liked to play Jamaica," he said.

Ghana will now face Trinidad and Tobago in the third-place match.

"We will approach Trinidad and Tobago with our usual attitude," he added. "We want to win and put things right."
