2025 Unity Cup: Nigeria announce squad for four-nation tournament

The Nigeria Football Federation has announced the Super Eagles squad. They will compete in the Unity Cup tournament in England. Several key players are missing from the lineup.

Notable absences include Victor Osimhen and Alex Iwobi. Defender Felix Agu will train with the team but won't play in matches.

This situation opens doors for fringe players and home-based stars. They have a chance to shine before Nigeria’s upcoming qualifiers.

Premier League midfielders Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka lead the squad. Attacking options include Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, and Moses Simon.

Newcomers Nathan Tella and Cyriel Dessers are also part of the team. Local talents Amas Obasogie and Junior Nduka will get their opportunity to impress.

The Unity Cup is a four-nation tournament. It features Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago. The event will take place at G-Tech Community Stadium in Brentford from May 27 to 31.
