2025 World Relays: Ghana narrowly miss out on automatic qualification to World Champs

Ghana’s 4x100m men’s relay team missed automatic qualification at the World Championships. They finished 3rd in Heat 1 of the World Relays in China.

The team included Barnabas Aggerh, Sean Safo Antwi, Joseph Paul Amoah, and Ibrahim Fuseni. They were just 0.05 seconds slower than Poland, who placed 2nd.

Great Britain & NI won the race, with Poland and Ghana following them.

Ghana will compete again tomorrow for another chance to qualify for the World Championships.

France had a disappointing race, finishing 5th. Korea came in 4th and Colombia was 6th.

Ghana will have another opportunity to qualify on Sunday in Round 2 of the men’s 4x100 metres Relay World Championship Qualifying.
