2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Bukayo Saka left out of England squad to face Andorra

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka is not in the England squad. They will face Andorra on Saturday at 17:00 BST.

Atletico Madrid's Conor Gallagher and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins are also absent. Watkins is returning home due to a minor injury.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel spoke on Friday about Saka's situation. He mentioned that Saka completed only one full training session this week. This likely influenced his exclusion from the squad.

Saka, 23, has not played under Tuchel yet. He missed the first camp due to injury. It is uncertain if he will play in the friendly against Senegal on June 10.

Saka has 43 caps for England. He missed three months of action from December to April due to a hamstring injury but returned for the last two months of the season.

Watkins' departure was confirmed on Friday as a precautionary measure for his minor injury. It is unclear why Gallagher was left out; it may not be fitness-related.

England remains unbeaten in World Cup qualifying, winning their first two matches against Latvia and Albania.
