2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Sports Minister, NSA inspect Accra Sports Stadium ahead of Ghana v Chad game

Sports Minister Kofi Addams and NSA Director General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah inspected the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the Black Stars’ crucial match against Chad.

They found the floodlights inoperative and the facility deteriorating. Urgent repairs were ordered with a 48-hour deadline to meet CAF and FIFA standards before the team’s first training session on Monday.

Presidential Staffer Stan Dogbe received a report on the stadium’s poor condition.

The Sports Minister instructed the NSA to complete emergency fixes promptly. The 23-man squad arrives on March 17 for training before facing Chad on March 21.

Afterward, the Black Stars will travel to Morocco for a March 24 match against Madagascar at Stade Mimoun Al Arsi.
