24/25 GPL : Hearts of Oak triumph, Aduana FC maintain winning run & Samartex 1996 return to form

The Ghana Premier League had another exciting round of matches. There were plenty of goals, drama, and important points at stake. Hearts of Oak won against Medeama SC, while Aduana Stars secured a 1-0 victory. Defending champions Samartex FC also returned to winning form. The relegation battle remains tight with many teams fighting to survive.

Hearts of Oak won 1-0 against Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium. Emmanuel Amankwah scored the only goal of the match. However, he received a red card in the 90th minute. Despite this, the win is crucial for Hearts, who had struggled recently. They now sit in 4th place on the GPL table; Medeama SC is in 6th.

ADUANA STARS 1-0 VISIONS FC
Aduana Stars defeated Visions FC with a score of 1-0. Defender Rich Sackey scored early in the 10th minute. This victory marks three wins in their last five matches for Aduana Stars. They continue to climb up the table while Visions FC looks to recover from this loss.

BASAKE HOLY STARS 2-1 BEREKUM CHELSEA
Basake Holy Stars achieved a surprising 2-1 win over Berekum Chelsea. This victory was vital for Holy Stars after being winless in five games. They moved up to 12th place, while Berekum Chelsea remains in 10th position.

SAMARTEX 2-0 ACCRA LIONS
Defending champions Samartex FC won decisively against Accra Lions, scoring 2-0. Emmanuel Mamah opened the scoring just one minute into the game. Akwasi Sarpong added another goal in the first half. This result lifts Samartex to 9th place; Accra Lions stay at the bottom in 16th.

HEARTS OF LIONS 1-1 ASANTE KOTOKO
Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Lions played to a tense draw at 1-1. Justice Blay scored first for Kotoko, but Fawzi Ali equalized for Hearts of Lions. Despite sharing points, Kotoko remains at the top with 46 points; Hearts of Lions holds onto third place with 41 points.

YOUNG APOSTLES 0-0 LEGON CITIES FC
The match between Young Apostles and Legon Cities FC ended without goals at zero-all. Both teams struggled offensively throughout the game. This result is disappointing as both sides face relegation threats while fighting for survival in the league.
