53-year-old arrested for attempted murder over Liverpool incident

A man has been arrested for attempted murder. This follows a car being driven into a crowd in Liverpool on Monday.

The 53-year-old suspect is from West Derby, Liverpool. He faces additional charges for driving under the influence of drugs and dangerous driving.

Merseyside Police report that 11 people are still in the hospital. Fortunately, all of them are in stable condition. More than 50 people received treatment at hospitals.

The suspected driver managed to follow an ambulance after a roadblock was lifted. This allowed a member of the public to receive treatment.

Thousands were on the streets for Liverpool FC's Premier League victory parade.
