Nana Effah Asare, the Communication Director of Medeama SC, spoke about the club's goals. He said they will only have themselves to blame if they do not win the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
Currently, Medeama is in 5th place on the league table. They have played 26 matches, winning 12, drawing 5, and losing 9.
In an interview with Citi Sports, Effah shared that the club has held many internal meetings. These meetings included the board, management, technical team, and players. The focus has been on winning the league this season.
Effah emphasized that it is now up to the club to achieve this goal. He stated that if they fail to win a trophy, they can only blame themselves. Before the season started, they discussed their ambitions thoroughly.
He also mentioned their desire to return to continental football. Medeama recently gained valuable experience from competing in Africa. Effah noted that this exposure helped elevate the club's profile.
“We are working very hard to achieve our goals,” he said. “We need another chance in Africa because it was beneficial for us.”
With seven games left in the season, consistency will be crucial for success. The Yellow and Mauves must maintain their intensity to reach their ambitious targets.
