A chunk of Black Stars players are average – Ibrahim Sannie Daara

Former GFA Communications Director Ibrahim Sannie Daara believes most of the current Black Stars players are average, except for Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, and Thomas Partey. Speaking on Sporty FM, he attributed the team’s struggles to a lack of quality.

Ghana has suffered early exits in the last three major tournaments and recently failed to qualify for AFCON 2025, finishing last in Group F with just three points.

Despite this setback, the Black Stars will aim for redemption in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, facing Chad and Madagascar in March.

Sannie Daara’s remarks highlight growing concerns over the national team’s decline and the need for a stronger squad to compete at the highest level.
