AFCON 2025Q: Jordan, Alidu, Gideon and Fatawu ruled out of Niger’s clash

Four players—Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku—will miss Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against Niger due to injuries.

Seidu and Mensah, who barely passed fitness tests for the Angola match, were later deemed unfit after further assessments.

Ayew played the full Angola game but MRI scans in Accra revealed significant knee issues.

Issahaku was substituted early in the same match due to his injury.

Following consultations between Ghana's medical team and Leicester City's staff, Ayew and Issahaku will return to their clubs for rehabilitation.
