AFCON 2025Q: Otto Addo calls up Jerry Afriyie, two others for Niger clash

Three players—Medeama SC’s Kamaradini Mamudu, Heart of Lions’ Ebenezer Abban, and Jerry Afriyie from Thought FC—have been called up for Ghana's AFCON qualifier against Niger on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Accra Sports Stadium.

They replace key absentees Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Jordan Ayew.

Mamudu has 9 league appearances, 2 goals, and 1 Man of the Match award.

Abban has featured in 11 league matches, while Afriyie is a gold medalist at the 2024 African Games and WAFU Zone B U-20 MVP and top scorer.

The trio will train with the Black Stars on Sunday as Ghana, with only three points from five games, aims to end their qualifiers positively. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
