Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has lashed out at journalists following criticism of his team’s performance, despite their 1-0 win over Medeama.
The Phobians ended a four-match winless run with a long-range goal from Raphael Amponsah at the Accra Sports Stadium. However, some fans and pundits still found the display underwhelming.
Frustrated by the mixed reactions, Ouattara questioned journalists' expectations. “When we win, the performance is not good. When we lose playing well, you still criticize,” he said. He emphasized that points matter more than style: “The table is not about performance; we want three points.”
Ouattara has had tense interactions with the media before, including a fine for skipping a press conference. Hearts next face Vision FC in the league this weekend.
