Accra Hearts of Oak keep winning form with 1-0 victory over Legon Cities

Accra Hearts of Oak defeated Legon Cities 1-0 in their first Premier League match of 2025, with midfielder Ramzy Yussif scoring a solo goal just before halftime.

The match was notable for the appointment of Yaw Acheampong as head coach of Legon Cities, following Paa Kwesi Fabin's departure last month. Acheampong made three changes to the starting lineup, with Morris Fuseini, Aaron Quartey, and Nicholas Nti replacing Frederick Akatuk, Frederick Ofori, and Bruce Tagoe.

Despite a strong start, anchored by Albert Yeboah, Legon Cities could not break down the Hearts defense. The loss extended their run to five consecutive defeats, leaving them bottom of the league with just 11 points from 15 matches.
