Accra Lions, has been charged with misconduct by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over comments made on their official social media during their January 5, 2025, match against Dreams FC.
The Lions, who lost 1-0, expressed dissatisfaction with the refereeing, accusing officials of biased decisions favoring Dreams FC, particularly in the second half. These posts, shared on X (formerly Twitter), sparked significant reactions among fans and stakeholders.
The GFA issued a formal charge, citing a violation of Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019, claiming the commentary on the match officials undermined the integrity of the game and brought it into disrepute.
