Accravaganza: Guinness official cited in DJ Lord's allegation against Stonebwoy

DJ Lord OTB's manager has clarified recent claims about Shatta Wale's songs.

Some believed that Stonebwoy's management ordered DJ Lord to stop playing them. However, Joojo, DJ Lord's manager, explained it was a third party who communicated this.

During an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Joojo shared details. He said they played two Shatta Wale songs back-to-back before receiving a message. A top official from Guinness Ghana, the event’s sponsor, sent the message.

Joojo mentioned seeing a lady approach him during their set. He recognized her but did not know her personally.

The lady conveyed that Stonebwoy's management was unhappy with the song choices. She showed Joojo a chat on her phone regarding this issue.

Joojo then whispered the message to DJ Lord. They adjusted their playlist based on this information.

When asked how many Shatta Wale songs they had played, Joojo confirmed it was just two. "I was there; I saw everything," he stated.

Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng is the Head of Communications at Burniton Music Group. She denied any claims that Stonebwoy’s camp ordered DJ Lord to stop playing Shatta Wale’s music.

"I have dared DJ Lord to name whoever told him that," she said.

On April 1, 2025, DJ Lord shared his experience on social media. He mentioned including essential tracks from Shatta Wale in his set alongside Merqury Quaye.

He noted that the crowd responded positively until a top Board official intervened. At Stonebwoy's management's request, he was instructed to stop playing Shatta Wale’s music immediately.

The event organizers and sponsors have not yet responded to these allegations made by DJ Lord and his manager.
