Ademola Lookman is set to leave Atalanta this summer following a fallout with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
The club had already planned his departure last summer and remains firm on the decision despite recent tensions.
The situation escalated after Gasperini criticized Lookman’s penalty-taking following Atalanta’s Champions League exit, prompting the Nigerian forward to call the remarks “deeply disrespectful.”
Although Atalanta will discuss the issue with Gasperini, Romano insists Lookman’s exit is unchanged.
Since joining from RB Leipzig in 2022, Lookman has been a key player, notably scoring a hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League final to secure Atalanta’s first European title.
With the transfer window approaching, multiple European clubs are expected to pursue the Nigerian star.
