Lamine Yamal, at just 17, has quickly become crucial to Barcelona, and his agent, Jorge Mendes, confirmed he will stay with the club.
Despite an ankle sprain that will sideline him for three to four weeks, Yamal is expected to recover soon.
He will miss Barcelona's upcoming match against Atletico Madrid. Mendes also confirmed that Yamal will renew his contract with the club.
His current deal, which expires in 2026, was initially for three years due to his age.
However, once he turns 18 next summer, he is expected to sign a new six-year contract with a €1 billion release clause, which has reportedly been agreed upon.
