Alexander Djiku happy with injury return

Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku is delighted to be back in action for Fenerbahce after recovering from a muscle injury sustained in a Turkish Cup clash against Erzurumspor on February 5, 2025.

The injury sidelined him for four games, but he has since made three substitute appearances.

Djiku played a crucial role in Fenerbahce’s UEFA Europa League match against Rangers, coming on in the 16th minute due to an injury to Caglar Soyuncu.

He made an immediate impact by scoring in the 30th minute to level the game, but Fenerbahce ultimately lost 3-1.

Expressing his joy at returning, Djiku emphasized the team’s focus on the second leg. Under Jose Mourinho, he has been a key player, making 30 appearances and scoring once this season.
