Alexander Isak named Premier League's Player of the Month

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for December 2024, earning his first career win after scoring eight goals and providing two assists in six games.

His impressive run included goals in all of Newcastle’s December fixtures, starting with a goal and an assist against Liverpool and ending with a strike against Manchester United. Isak beat Liverpool's Mohamed Salah to the award, despite Salah’s seven goals and seven assists, which set a Premier League record for most goal involvements in a single calendar month.

Nottingham Forest's Nuno Espirito Santo was named Manager of the Month after guiding his team to strong performances. Isak is the fifth different winner of the award this year.
