Former Ghana international Alfred Duncan revealed that his decision to retire from the Black Stars in 2019 was primarily due to a lack of respect from the national team setup.
In an exclusive interview with Sporty FM, Duncan expressed feeling disrespected and undervalued by the team's hierarchy, which led him to step away from international duty at the peak of his career.
He stated, "I wasn't getting the respect I think I deserved," highlighting this as the key reason for his premature retirement.
Despite his early exit, Duncan remains one of Ghana's most accomplished midfielders in European football, having played for top clubs like Inter Milan, Sassuolo, Fiorentina, and Venezia.
