Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwasi Nyantakyi remains optimistic about the Black Stars’ chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, despite their recent struggles.
Following their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Nyantakyi believes there is still hope. In an interview, he urged the team to focus on the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in March against Chad and Madagascar.
Nyantakyi, who led Ghana to three consecutive World Cup appearances, emphasized the need for significant changes, including calling up the right players who are both talented and dedicated.
His comments offer encouragement to the Black Stars as they look to recover from their recent setbacks.
