Amorim's first few months at Man Utd intense but 'special'

Ruben Amorim Ruben Amorim

Ruben Amorim described his first few months at Manchester United as both intense and "the most special."

Appointed in early November to replace Erik ten Hag, Amorim has faced a mixed tenure, with United currently 12th in the Premier League after six defeats in his first 11 league games—the club’s worst start since 1932. Despite the struggles, United is on the verge of securing automatic qualification for the Europa League knockout rounds and has reached the FA Cup fourth round, defeating Arsenal on penalties.

Amorim acknowledged the challenges and intensity of the job, noting the difficult calendar and lack of preparation time. He expressed understanding that, with defeats, things become more complicated but remains determined as they aim for a top-eight finish in Europe.
