Mason Mount, Manchester United's forward, will be sidelined for "several weeks" due to a leg injury, according to manager Ruben Amorim. Mount was forced off the pitch after just 14 minutes in Sunday's Manchester derby against City.
The 25-year-old, who joined United from Chelsea in July 2023, has struggled with injuries, missing five months last season due to thigh and calf issues and two months this season with hamstring and head injuries.
Amorim emphasized that while he isn't concerned with whether Mount is injury-prone, he is focused on aiding his recovery and providing support during his absence.
Mount has made only five starts this season and is expected to be out for a lengthy period.
