Andre Ayew scores in Le Havre big loss to Olympique Marseille

Ghana captain Andre Ayew scored his first goal of the 2024-25 Ligue 1 season in a tough 5-1 loss for Le Havre AC to Olympique Marseille.

Marseille dominated from the start, taking a 3-0 lead in the first half with goals from Valentin Rongier, Bilal Nabir, and Neal Maupay. In the second half, Elye Wahi and Ulisses Garcia made it 5-0.

Le Havre’s only response came in the 85th minute when Ayew, rising above defenders, scored a header from a precise cross by Antoine Joujou. Despite the goal, Le Havre remain near the bottom of the table, and Ayew will aim to lead them to better results in the second half of the season.
