Annor Walker’s bold bet backfires: Will he now dash his car?

What was meant to boost confidence has become a test for Annor Walker. His team, Vision FC, drew 1-1 despite his bold prediction of a strong start.

On Friday, during Original Sports on Accra-based Original FM/TV, Walker made a confident statement. He predicted that Vision FC would score two goals in the first 25 minutes against Hearts of Oak.

“Our supporters should come early or they will miss our goals,” he declared live on air. This caught the attention of fans and panelists alike.

Gideon Okyere Anim, known as “Gattuso,” challenged him. “If your prediction comes true, I’ll give you a piece of land,” he said.

Walker confidently replied, “I’ll take that land if I’m right.” Gattuso then added, “I’ll take your car if you’re wrong.” Walker agreed to this wager.

However, match day brought disappointment for Walker. By the 25th minute, Vision FC had not scored and was down 1-0 due to Kelvin Osei Asibey's goal.

In the second half, Mershack Adjetey equalized just two minutes in. But that was all they could manage; the match ended 1-1.

Now the big question is whether Coach Annor Walker will honor his promise and give up his car. The Ghanaian football community is watching closely to see what he will do next.
