Minister for Sports and Recreation Kofi Adams has warned against an antagonistic approach. He believes collaboration is key to addressing issues within the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
For years, there have been perceptions of power struggles in sports. This tension exists particularly between the Ministry and the GFA. However, Adams insists that confrontation should be a last resort.
In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Channel One TV’s Face to Face, he stressed working together with stakeholders. “Being an antagonist should be the last thing you adopt as a leader,” he said.
Adams acknowledged existing challenges but emphasized problem-solving over targeting individuals. “I see problems, but I don’t see human beings as the problems,” he explained.
He urged everyone to identify issues together and focus on solutions. However, he warned that those who obstruct progress may be seen as part of the problem.
“If you continue to become an obstacle, then you are a problem,” he added. His comments come amid ongoing discussions about reform and accountability in Ghana’s sports administration.
