Manchester United has agreed to loan winger Antony to Real Betis for the remainder of the season.
The Brazilian joined United for over £80m in 2022 but struggled to justify his price, falling out of favor under manager Erik ten Hag. He has made limited appearances under Ruben Amorim, starting only twice. Although initially attracting interest from Olympiacos, Antony chose Betis, who have reached a verbal agreement with United for a six-month loan with no obligation to buy.
The move is pending a medical and final paperwork. Betis, struggling in the lower half of La Liga, will hope to benefit from Antony's arrival. Despite United's poor form and limited transfer activity, they are focused on raising funds by selling players.
