Arsenal have expressed strong interest in signing Joshua Kimmich, with Bayern Munich reportedly withdrawing their contract offer for the 30-year-old midfielder.
Kimmich’s current contract expires in four months, and despite interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, Arsenal now appear to lead the race.
With Thomas Partey and Jorginho set to leave in June, Mikel Arteta is looking to overhaul his midfield, with Kimmich’s experience and versatility a key target.
Additionally, Arsenal is confident about activating Martin Zubimendi’s €51m release clause from Real Sociedad.
However, while Kimmich would be a free transfer, his high wages may require Arsenal to sell players like Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard to fund the move.
