Arsenal in talks to extend Thomas Partey's contract amid summer squad reshuffle

Arsenal has confirmed ongoing talks to extend Thomas Partey's contract. The Ghanaian midfielder's current deal ends on June 30, 2025.

This update comes as the club plans a major squad reshuffle. Four senior players will leave at the end of this month. They are Raheem Sterling, Kieran Tierney, Neto, and Jorginho.

Partey joined Arsenal in 2020 from Atlético Madrid. Recently, he has been linked with clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia. However, his strong performances last season have encouraged Arsenal to keep him.

The 31-year-old had his best season yet with Arsenal. He played in 52 matches across all competitions. This is his highest tally since joining the club, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

In an official statement, Arsenal addressed players with contracts expiring next year. They said: “The following players’ contracts also expire on June 30, 2025. Discussions are ongoing. Once finalized, we will communicate in due course.” The players mentioned include Chloe Kelly, Thomas Partey, and Michal Rosiak.
