John Ansah, President of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), has condemned the violent death of Francis Yaw Frimpong, a supporter of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, calling it a "barbaric" tragedy.
Frimpong, known as Pooley, died during a violent incident at a Week 19 match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko.
During a meeting with the Inspector General of Police, Ansah emphasized the need for stronger security measures at football venues.
He commended the police for their swift response and assured cooperation from the football community.
The incident has raised concerns about safety in the Ghana Premier League, with the police arresting six suspects, and both the GFA and involved clubs calling for immediate reforms.
