Gyau primarily operates as a central midfielder. He impresses with his vision, composure, and work rate on both ends of the pitch. He has dictated the tempo for Berekum Chelsea and contributed directly to 11 goals this season.
In March, he played a key role in a 2-1 win over Hearts of Oak, providing assists and earning praise for his control in midfield. In April, he scored a stunning long-range goal against Medeama SC, enhancing his reputation as a talented young player.
Kotoko's head coach Karim Zito admires Gyau and sees him fitting well into his possession-based system. The club plans to rebuild its squad after a disappointing league campaign that fell short of continental qualification.
