Asante Kotoko aims to sign experienced attacker Joseph Esso in the next transfer window.
The Porcupine Warriors want to strengthen their attack for next season. Esso currently plays for Dreams FC and is a top target.
He rejoined Dreams FC in March 2024 and has become essential to the team. This season, the 28-year-old scored 9 goals in 29 matches in the Ghana Premier League.
Reports say negotiations are ongoing between Asante Kotoko and Dreams FC for a transfer. Dreams FC is willing to sell Esso at the right price.
Currently, they focus on their remaining Ghana Premier League matches despite Kotoko's interest. Coach Karim Zito, who recently moved from Dreams FC to Kotoko, may help secure Esso's transfer.
With his experience in the league, Esso could greatly benefit Asante Kotoko if he joins. He has played previously for Ebusua Dwarfs and Hearts of Oak.
Asante Kotoko is fourth in the Premier League with 54 points. Dreams FC sits ninth with 43 points.
