Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has signed a two-year contract extension with Al Ittihad Ladies in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

Since joining in 2023, Plumptre has been a key player, impressing the club with her performances.

The extension reflects both her commitment and the club’s strategy to retain top talent. Club CEO Domingos Oliveira praised her contribution and wished the team success.

Born in England, Plumptre switched allegiance to Nigeria through her paternal grandfather and has played in the 2022 WAFCON and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Before joining Ittihad, she played for Leicester City Women, helping them secure WSL promotion. She made a memorable debut for Ittihad, scoring a hat-trick in a 3-0 win over Eastern Flames.
