Athletic Club striker Inaki Williams finds VAR rules strange amid Barcelona defeat

Inaki Williams, forward for Athletic Bilbao, expressed frustration over the officiating in his team's 2-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final.

The Ghanaian international had an 86th-minute goal disallowed after a VAR review, which he found unfair and inconsistent.

Williams questioned the decision, stating that it was strange to cancel such goals and criticized the inconsistency in applying the rules.

"It seems that the rules are not the same for everyone," he added. Barcelona secured the victory with goals from Gavi and Lamine Yamal and will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Real Madrid and Real Mallorca in the final.
