Former Black Stars striker Augustine Ahinful has called for a National Management Board to oversee Ghana's national football teams instead of separate Management Committees.
His comments followed the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) announcement of a new Management Committee for the Black Stars after the previous one, led by Mark Addo, was dissolved due to the team's failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Speaking on Sporty FM, Ahinful criticized the current system, arguing it lacks effectiveness. He proposed a smaller board, including diverse members beyond football experts, to make strategic decisions and delegate tasks efficiently.
The newly formed Black Stars Management Committee, chaired by Dr. Randy Abbey, includes Stephen Appiah as Vice-Chairman, alongside other officials tasked with operations and stakeholder engagement.
