Former Ghana international Augustine Ahinful has advised Black Stars coach Otto Addo to adopt a more attacking style of play, especially in home matches.
Addo’s future is uncertain after Ghana failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 21 years, securing only three points in the qualifiers.
With growing calls for a change in leadership, Ahinful believes if Addo stays, he must change his cautious tactics.
He criticized Addo for consistently playing two defensive midfielders, regardless of the venue, and urged him to be more offensive at home games to improve the team’s performance.
Ahinful’s comments reflect the frustration among fans and analysts following Ghana’s disappointing qualification campaign.
