Badminton: Quarcoo and Abdul-Samad reign supreme at the 2024 President’s Cup Finals

The 2024 President's Cup Championship concluded on December 30, 2024, with Ahmad Abdul-Samad and Rachael Quarcoo crowned champions in the men’s and women’s singles, respectively.

The two-day tournament, held at the Borteyman Sports Complex, featured intense competition across multiple categories, including men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. On Day 1, preliminary rounds were played, while Day 2 focused on the finals.

Quarcoo triumphed over Moslena Ama Koramah Adu in the women’s singles, while Abdul-Samad defeated Andy Amofa in the men’s final. In doubles, Abdul-Samad/Kwame Korampong and Nantuo/Ofoli claimed victories. The event also served to select athletes for the 2025 national team, with prizes awarded to the winners.
