Barcelona Sporting Director Deco to take legal action over Vitor Roque comments

Barcelona's Sporting Director, Deco, plans to take legal action against former presidential candidate Victor Font over comments regarding the transfer of Vitor Roque to the club.

Font suggested that there were suspicious dealings in the transfer, particularly highlighting Deco’s dual role as Roque's agent and later as Sporting Director.

Deco disputes these claims, as reports indicate that Roque was initially rejected by the club in 2023 before Deco, in his new role, revived the deal.

Roque was signed for €30 million, with an additional €31 million in variables, but has struggled at Barcelona and is currently on loan at Real Betis. His future remains uncertain, with Betis having the option to buy him next summer.
