Barcelona sporting director gives verdict on Marcus Rashford move

Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, stated that the club is focusing on contract renewals before considering new signings, responding to rumors linking them with Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.

While several European clubs, including Barcelona, were thought to be interested in the out-of-favor winger, Deco emphasized that financial fair play and renewing existing player contracts were the club’s priorities.

He confirmed that Barcelona's main concern is not exceeding La Liga’s strict financial regulations, especially after seeking emergency registrations for new signings this season. Deco also clarified that manager Xavi had not requested any new reinforcements yet.
