Barcelona star responds to summer transfer speculation – ‘I’ll be around for a while’

Ronald Araujo has put an end to speculation about his possible departure from Barcelona, reaffirming his commitment to the club after signing a contract extension until 2031.

Earlier in January, reports suggested he was considering a move to Juventus, but discussions with manager Hansi Flick and a new deal from Sporting Director Deco convinced him to stay.

His new contract includes a €65 million release clause, significantly lower than the previous €1 billion clause, fueling speculation about a potential summer exit.

However, Araujo insists he has no plans to leave, stating that he has always given his all for the club.

With Barcelona already boasting five central defenders, including Pau Cubarsí and Íñigo Martínez, his commitment may impact the club’s future transfer plans.
