Barcelona is working to revive Vitor Roque’s transfer to Palmeiras after the deal collapsed due to La Liga regulations.
The club had agreed to sell 80% of Roque’s rights for €25m, but La Liga rules prevent his transfer outside official windows.
To proceed, Barcelona would need to re-register him after terminating his loan, which is not allowed.
Now, Barcelona has appealed to UEFA and FIFA for a legal solution and is working with Roque’s agent, Andre Cury, to find precedents that could allow the deal.
The club is eager to finalize the transfer to recover their investment in Roque and free up salary space for contract renewals, including those of Íñigo Martínez and Lamine Yamal.
