Barcelona are planning for next season and have decided to keep Robert Lewandowski as their main striker, despite his age.
While the club had considered signing Viktor Gyökeres or Alexander Isak as replacements, financial constraints mean they will not pursue either forward.
Sporting Director Deco and manager Hansi Flick believe Barcelona has enough attacking options, with Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo capable of stepping up when needed.
Lewandowski has agreed to a new deal, including an option to extend until 2027. Instead of signing a new striker, Barcelona may prioritize strengthening other positions, with Liverpool’s Luis Díaz emerging as a target.
However, the reliance on a 37-year-old Lewandowski carries risks, as maintaining peak form throughout an entire season could become increasingly difficult.
