Barcelona with back-to-back five-goal performances as Real Betis are swept aside

Barcelona triumphed 5-1 over Real Betis to advance to the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.

The hosts started strong with Gavi scoring in the first three minutes. Jules Kounde added a second after a great assist from Lamine Yamal.

Despite two goals being disallowed by VAR, Raphinha extended the lead, followed by Ferran Torres’ goal after a brilliant Dani Olmo assist. Yamal, who had already assisted, sealed the victory with a goal of his own.

Betis got a penalty consolation from Vitor Roque against his parent club. Barcelona’s dominant performance in 2024 makes them strong favorites for the Copa del Rey as they continue to impress.
